Zapin

Zapin is a dance form that is popular in in Malaysia (especially in the state of Johor). It is believed to have been introduced by Arab, Muslim missionaries from the Middle East in the fourteenth century.<br /><br />In the old days, only males were allowed to perform but nowadays, female dancers are included. Today, Malaysia can boast of having one of the most well-developed infrastructure among the newly industrialising countries of Asia.<br /><span class="fullpost"><br />A landmark event was the completion of Malaysia's newest and biggest airport, the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), which opened for business in 1998. Here I am questioning where to go for the weekend and this beach resort is practically near me !<br /><div align="left"></div><div align="left">As commented by one of the visitors ( he is a Qiqong master from China ) : “The qi here is stronger than Indonesia’s Bali and Cambodia’s Angkor Wat combined.” Since then, he has come back regularly – not alone but with others in tow.<br /><br />But his is not the only spiritual group making annual pilgrimages to this secluded resort on the east coast of Johor.
